According to the information of the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the disaster liquidation and road cleaning works have been resumed in the disaster zone in Shovi this morning.

All necessary equipment is mobilized on site. At this stage, 21 units of equipment are working and will be added gradually during the day. Also, the temporary bridge restoration works are starting.

Yesterday, the temporary bridge on the 136th km of the Kutaisi (Choma)-Alpana-Mamison secondary road and the bridge (Shovi) on the 139th km. the river Chanchakhi overflew as a result of heavy rain in the mountains and took it. All types of vehicle movement is restricted on the mentioned sections of the road.
