The rehabilitation works of the 3 km long section of the Mtskheta-Shiomghvim Monastery secondary road have been completed. The project was implemented by order of the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia.

The rehabilitated section is the access road to Shiomghvim monastery, which is located in Mtskheti municipality. The road passes through both inhabited and uninhabited territory.

Within the framework of the project, the road surface was renewed, water pipes and cuvettes were arranged. Also, road signs were updated and horizontal road marking works were carried out.

The rehabilitation of the access road to Shiomghvime ensures safe and comfortable movement of the local population and tourists.

The project was financed from the state budget and its value is up to 2 million GEL.
