“On the first lot of the Samtredia-Grigoleti road, on which is under construction, the 8th bridge of construction was damaged, which led to the laying of two males based on this boot. Fortunately, no one has been injured, most importantly, ”the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Irakli Karseladze, said after inspecting the damaged section of the Rioni River on the first section of the Samtredia-Grigoleti road.

According to the Minister, the relevant specialists have already started studying to determine the reasons for the accident.

“The causes have already begun to study, absolutely all relevant services, experts, engineers are involved, to determine the causes of this. Naturally, as a result of the study, for reasons, appropriate measures will be implemented, ”Irakli Karseladze said.

Since the morning the representatives of all technical services of the Roads Department have been at the scene. As soon as the water level is lowered to the Rioni River water, a special study of the damaged and stacked section will begin.

The construction of the first 11.5 km section of Samtredia-Grigoleti is at the final stage. This section of the road will pass through the city of Samtredia and 4 villages of Samtredia and Abasha municipality (Tola, Gormalgha, May 1, Daddy). Works are financed from the state budget.
