The Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia continues to rehabilitate 62.4 km of roads in 7 different sections in the Guria region with the financing of the World Bank. The total cost of the projects is 58.5 million GEL.

Challenges that the contractor company had with the work schedule have now been resolved and the work is scheduled to be completed in stages by the end of the year.

Within the framework of the project, rehabilitation is being carried out on separate sections of the Sajavakho-Chokhatauri-Ozurgeti, Chokhatauri-Bakhmaro, Ozurgeti-Natanevi-Ureki, Ozurgeti-Kobuleti, Chokhatauri-Zomleti roads, as well as the Nasakiral road section.

The section of Nasakirali is part of the Sajavakho-Chokhatauri-Ozurgeti-Kobuleti road. This road is the shortest connecting road for Ozurgeti and Chokhatauri municipalities. In this way, it is also possible to connect from Guria to Adjara region, namely Kobuleti municipality.
