Due to heavy snow and difficult meteorological conditions across the country, road cleaning works are carried out 24 hours a day, sand-salt mixture is poured and all necessary measures are taken to maintain the permeability of vehicles.

The Roads Department urges residents to drive with appropriate tires for the winter period, with proper transport and to obey the regimes imposed on the roads.

As a result of intensive cleaning works carried out so far, the traffic of trailers and semi-trailers on the Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze international road has been restored.

Special modes of movement apply to the following roads:

According to the National Environment Agency, the level of avalanche danger on the Gudauri-Kobi section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi international road is high, due to which the movement of all types of vehicles is prohibited on this section. According to the National Environment Agency, the traffic on the Mleta-Gudauri section will be carried out in a non-stop mode.

Due to difficult meteorological conditions (heavy snow, snowstorm, clear ice and low visibility) on the km 1-km 36 section of Akhalkalaki-Kartsakhi international road, km33-Kirovakani-Kumurdo road km1-5 km2 of Akhalkalaki All types of traffic is restricted on the section.

Due to heavy snow, snowstorm and low visibility, all types of traffic is restricted on the km 21-km 146 section of the Koda-Partskhisi-Manglisi-Tsalka-Ninotsminda secondary road. Due to snow and clear ice, only off-road vehicles (with two or more leading bridges) are allowed on the Vaziani-Gombori-Telavi road, while other types of vehicles are restricted.

Due to heavy snow and low temperature, the movement of trailers and semi-trailers is prohibited on the Kutaisi-Tkibuli-Ambrolauri road km39-km62 (Nakerala Pass), while the movement of other types of vehicles is free. Traffic is free on the rest of the road.

Due to heavy snow and mudslides, the movement of trailers and semi-trailers is restricted on the km4-km98 section of the Ponichala-Marneuli-Guguti international road, while the movement of other types of vehicles is free. Traffic is free on the rest of the road.

Due to clear ice, the movement of trailers and semi-trailers is restricted on the Sachkhere-Oni road, while the movement of other types of vehicles is free.

Due to clear ice, the movement of trailers, semi-trailers and buses with a capacity of more than 30 seats is restricted on the Km70-km186 (Khaishi-Ushguli) section of the Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili secondary road On the km138-km186 (Mestia-Ushguli) section, light traffic is allowed using anti-slip chains. The movement of off-road vehicles (with two or more driveways) is free. Traffic is free on km1-km70 (Zugdidi-Khaishi) section of the road.
