Based on information of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, yesterday on 23th June at 18:00 PM, due to activation of natural disaster processes, traffic is forbidden for all mode of transport at km 134- km 135 of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi road. Population and passengers are already evacuated from the Larsi check point and adjacent territory.
As a result of heavy rains, torrents coming from Devdoraki gorge blocked Tergi riverbed and changed the direction of Tergi river. Water flow flooded about 800m long section of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi road.
Relevant service units of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia are mobilized on place. Studying and estimation of damaged areas, also mobilization of relevant machinery are ongoing. National Environment Agency monitoring group is working in Ravine.
