Traffic at Ruisi-Agara 19 km section will be opened by the end of the year

Construction of Ruisi-Agara 19 km two-lane section is actively progressing, works for 8 km will be completed in the nearest future and traffic will be diverted. Chairman of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure Vazha Panchulidze visited Ruisi-Agara section to monitor the ongoing works.

At this stage more than 350 people are employed for the construction works most which are local residents.

11 km section of Ruisi-Agara 19 km two-lane highway has already been constructed and traffic has been diverted, the project is expected to be entirely completed by the end of the year. Cost of the project is up to GEL 71 million and donor is the World Bank.

At this stage the highway construction progresses at 7 different sections
