Today, contract of construction of 12 km Agara-Zemo Osiauri highway was signed between Roads Department and Kuwait Company Corpi Construction Enterprises W.L.L .
The contract was signed by Deputy Chairman of RD Vazha Panchulidze and Directors of Georgian Branch of Corpi Construction Enterprises W.L.L Ala Akdag and Amiran Mamuchadze.
Upgrading of Agara-Zemo Osiauri section (km19-km31) is implemented by financing of the World Bank. Respective section is a part of E-60 highway. Bidding announced in 2013 for construction of mentioned section was won by Kuwait Company “Corpi Construction Enterprises W.L.L . Cost of the works envisaged by the contract is more than 105 mln GEL. Project implementation period - 27 months after commencement of construction works.
4-lane cement-concrete road would be constructed under the project. Also, construction of structures: 2 interchanges, 4 bridges, 20 culvers and 3 agricultural underpasses are considered.
Corpi Construction Enterprises W.L.L will start arrangement of construction base and mobilization of machinery within the several days after contract signature.
