A coordination meeting of international financial institutions and representatives of the Roads Department was held under the organization of the Roads Department of Georgia.

The meeting was attended by: Mzia Giorgobiani, Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Ekaterine Guntsadze, Deputy Minister of Finance, Giorgi Tsereteli, Chairman of the Roads Department, his deputies Salome Tsurtsumia and Davit Getsadze. From the side of international financial institutions: representatives of the European Investment Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the Japan International Cooperation Agency and the Kuwait Foundation in the South Caucasus.

The participants of the coordination meeting discussed the progress and results of major road infrastructure projects in Georgia with the support of international financial organizations. Also, they talked about the planned projects.

It should be noted that the financial support of international financial institutions is mainly aimed at the modernization of the East-West highway and the expansion of the trans-European transport network.

At the end of the meeting, the parties noted that meetings of this nature will contribute to effective coordination, partnership and mutual cooperation of international financial institutions and state agencies and will certainly continue in the future.
