According to the information of the Roads Department of the  Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the rehabilitation of 46 km of road, which includes 6 different sections, in the Guria region, with the financial support of the World Bank, is at the stage of completion. And the asphalt-concrete pavement is being laid on the remaining 3 km. The total value of the mentioned projects is 42.2 million GEL.

Within the framework of the project, individual sections of Sajavakho-Chokhatauri-Ozurgeti, Chokhatauri-Bakhmaro, Ozurgeti-Natanabi-Ureki, Chokhatauri-Zomleti roads and also the section of Nasakirali road are being rehabilitated. The section of Nasakirali is part of the Sajavakho-Chokhatauri-Ozurgeti-Kobuleti road. This section connects Ozurgeti and Chokhatauri municipalities and Guria and Adjara regions in the shortest way.

In addition to these 46 kilometers, up to 43 km of roads will be rehabilitated in the Guria region within the framework of 4 projects by the end of the year with the financing of the state budget. Also, the construction of 1 new bridge and 4 embankment projects - 1.5 km in length - is underway. The total cost of the projects under the state budget is 42 million. It is up to GEL.

Current projects will significantly improve the road infrastructure in the region, which will contribute to the development of the economy and tourism. The population will enjoy comfortable and safe roads.
