For the ongoing rehabilitation works on the Batumi (Angisa)-Akhaltsikhe road section km0-km4 (Fridon Khalvashi Street), km1-km3 section of the mentioned road is closed, and only one lane is closed on the km3-km5 section (from Batumi in the direction of Akhaltsikhe), and from Akhaltsikhe in the direction of Batumi Light vehicles move in one direction.

June 4, 2023 was set as the deadline for the works, however, due to bad weather, the works could not be completed within the specified period. In order to complete the works, the special traffic regime established on the km1-km3 and km3-km5 sections of the Batumi (Angisa)-Akhaltsikhe road will continue until 08:00 on June 9, 2023.

During the closure period, light vehicles moving from Akhaltsikhe in the direction of Batumi will drive through Machavariani street and the Senaki-Poti (Asakhemi)-Sarfi international road. Meanwhile, the light vehicle movement from Batumi in the direction of Akhaltsikhe will run from the 109th km of the Senaki-Foti (Asachemi)-Sarfi international road to Chorokhi and etc. through the streets of Shanidze and will be connected to the Batumi (Angisa)-Akhaltsikhe secondary road at the 5th km.
