Based on the analysis of the preliminary results of the study of the landslide process developed near the existing road on the 149th km of the Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze (Rikoti pass) international road, on the recommendation of specialists, the restoration of traffic on the Rikoti section is allowed under special regime conditions.

Since continuous strict monitoring of the landslide area is still recommended, on Saturday, April 8, starting at 07:00, vehicle traffic will be restored on the Rikoti section in the following mode:

From 07:00 to 19:00, movement from km 114 (Akhalsofli junction) to km 194 (Zestafoni) of the Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze international road will be allowed only for light and passenger vehicles.

From 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., only trucks move on the same section. Trucks will move under the strict supervision of the patrol, at intervals, without stopping and in reverse, i.e. unilaterally, by changing the direction.

In addition, the movement of any type of vehicle on the Rikoti tunnel-village Khevi section must be carried out without stopping.

Light and passenger vehicles can use the 109 km Gomi-Sachkhere-Chiathura-Zestafoni route at any time.

Research works in the landslide area continue. The process of developing relevant project solutions has been started. In order to start the preventive works, access roads are being arranged.
