The study of the landslide process developed near the 149th km of the international Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze road (Rikoti pass) continues.

At this stage, a complex study of the landslide site is underway. Topographical, geophysical and geological studies are carried out. Both local and international specialists participate in the research, and they will probably present the first conclusion at the end of the week. Based on the analysis of the research results, it will be possible to discuss the restoration of traffic.

On the Chumateleti-Khevi section, where the landslide area is located, the construction works of the main road are supervised by an international company, and at its invitation, highly qualified Georgian and foreign specialists are involved in the study of the landslide area.

On the section of the Rikoti pass, the movement of vehicles has been restricted since March 30 due to the landslides that developed near the 149th km of the Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze road.
