According to the information of the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the temporary diverting of light vehicle traffic in the west-east direction from the 114th km of the Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze road to the 109 km Gomi-Sachkhere-Chiathura-Zestafoni road is caused by extreme by necessity. In particular, due to the temporary restriction of traffic on the 80 km section of the Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze road.

In several sections of the Gomi-Sachkhere-Chiathura-Zestafoni highway, planned rehabilitation works of the damaged road are underway, which hinders the movement of increased traffic flows.

On two sections of the Gomi-Sachkhere-Chiathura-Zestafoni route, due to ongoing works on one side of the road, the carriageway of the road is narrowed. In particular: the construction of the retaining wall damaged by natural disasters is underway in Chiatura, at the 69th km; A retaining wall is being built near the village of Katsakh, at the 78th km, as part of the rehabilitation works; Road rehabilitation is being carried out on the sections of km 70 - km 82 (Chiathura - village Jokoeti) and km 84 - km 106 (village Rkvia - Zestafoni), and on the section km 84 - km 107, rehabilitation works are being carried out on 16 collapsed areas (territory of Dilikauri village).

The Roads Department apologizes for the inconvenience caused to drivers and passengers.

On the 149th km of the Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze road, the work of specialists continues to study the landslide area. The parties involved in the process are doing their best to receive the final results of the studies on time and to restore traffic on the main road (Rikoti section).
