The Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is actively continuing the construction of the 4th section of the Samtredia-Grigoleti road.

Within the framework of the construction, the construction of 2 parallel overpasses, 1 traffic junction, as well as a reinforced concrete underground passage and a water pipe has been completed on the 9-kilometer section. At this stage, the laying of the top layer of asphalt-concrete pavement is underway; In addition, in the 4th section of Samtredia-Grigoleti, the works of setting up the outdoor lighting system will begin in the near future.

The section of the road passes through the territory of Lanchkhuti municipality, north of Khazhalia and Akhalsofli villages, crosses a certain part of Supsa village and joins the existing Samtredia-Lanchkhuti-Grigoleti road.

The cost of the project is 113 million GEL and is being implemented with the support of the European Investment Bank (EIB). The project is planned to be completed this year.

In parallel mode, the rehabilitation of the existing local road in the village of Nigvziani of the Lanchkhuti municipality and the connection to the high-speed road are underway. The new road will be connected to the 4th lot of Samtredia-Grigoleti, and after the completion of the project, it will be possible to put into operation the 9.5 km section of Samtredia-Grigoleti.
