As a result of the intensive works carried out on the nationally important Zhinvali-Barisakho-Shatili road, traffic has been restored on temporary roads on the damaged sections. At the moment, on the section of the Zhinvali-Barisakho-Shatili road, km 60-km 106 (Gudani-Shatili), only off-road vehicles are allowed to drive, while other types of vehicles are restricted.

Restoration of damaged roads, embankment and strengthening works are being carried out on the Zhinvali-Barisakho-Shatili road. Also, project works are being carried out in a parallel mode.

Heavy rainfall on June 26-27 damaged several sections of the Zhinvali-Barisakho-Shatili road. As a result of heavy rainfall, the swollen Aragvi river damaged the carriageway of the road on the km 43 and km 45 sections of the same road, due to which all types of  traffic was restricted on the km 43-km 50 road.
