The Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is implementing 14 projects worth a total of 70 million GEL in Kvemo Kartli, within the framework of which up to 85 km of roads will be rehabilitated.

Active rehabilitation works are underway on the 16 km section of the Marneuli-Tetritskaro-Tsalka secondary road. The rehabilitation section is located in a densely populated area of ​​Tetritskaro Municipality. The road passes through the village of Tsintskaro and joins the Koda-Partskhisi road. The cost of the project is 8.7 million GEL and its completion is scheduled for June 2023.

Works are underway on the 15 km long Marneuli-Lomtagora-Algeti secondary road. This is the road that connects the shortest distances of Tbilisi (Ponichala) -Marneuli-Guguti and Tbilisi-Red Bridge international road. At the same time, it is a road connecting Marneuli and Gardabani municipalities and in this way the city of Rustavi and the city of Marneuli are connected to each other for the shortest distance.

Rehabilitation of the 5 km section of the Tetritskaro-Dagheti-Topani-Bolnisi secondary road will be completed in the fall of this year. The rehabilitation section was dirt, which hindered the movement of vehicles. Once the project is completed, the move will be possible in an updated and comfortable way. The road connects Tetritskaro and Bolnisi municipalities. The cost of the project is 4.1 million GEL.

Rehabilitation of 14 km of Ponichala-Marneuli-Guguti international road is underway as 2 projects. Rehabilitation sections are located in Marneuli and Bolnisi and will pass through the villages: Kizil-Ajoli, Fariz and Tsurtavi. The total cost of the projects is 10.2 million GEL and its completion is scheduled for the end of this year.

Ongoing rehabilitation projects in Kvemo Kartli include improving road technical parameters, rehabilitating road clothes, repairing ditches and existing artificial structures, and arranging new buildings, as well as junctions, entrances to residents' yards, and bus stops. The carriageway will be marked and road signs will be arranged.

In addition to road infrastructure rehabilitation projects, in Kvemo Kartli, within the framework of road maintenance, the roads damaged due to difficult meteorological conditions are being repaired during the winter.
