Due to the difficult meteorological conditions, the cleaning works on the roads were uninterrupted throughout the night and are still going on intensively. Snow-clearing equipment is mobilized in all directions, and technical salt is constantly poured on the roads in order to restore traffic in the shortest possible time.

At the moment, special modes of movement are in force on the following roads:

Due to heavy snow and clear ice, the movement of trailers and semi-trailers is restricted on the km138-km158 (Chumateleti-Khunevi) section of the Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze international road, while the movement of other types of vehicles is free. Traffic is free on the rest of the road.

Due to heavy snowfall and avalanche danger, all types of vehicles are restricted on the km6-km11 section of the Vani-Sulori secondary road. Traffic is free on the rest of the road.

Due to snow and ice, only off-road traffic (with two or more leading bridges) is allowed on the Shukhuti-Atsana-Mamati-Dzimiti secondary road, while other types of vehicles are restricted. Traffic is free on the rest of the road.

Due to heavy snow and low temperatures, the movement of trailers and semi-trailers is restricted  on the km 1- km 106 Gomi-Sachkhere-Chiatura-Zestaponi secondary road, while the movement of other types of vehicles is allowed. Traffic with two or more driveways is free.

Due to heavy snow, the movement of trailers and semi-trailers is restricted on the Sachkhere-Oni road, while the movement of other types of vehicles is free.

Due to difficult meteorological conditions (heavy snow and blizzard), on the km1-km22 section of the Alpana-Tsageri secondary road, traffic is restricted for trailers, semi-trailers and vehicles with a capacity of more than 30 seats. Traffic with two or more driveways is free.

Due to the heavy snowfall, only off-road traffic is allowed on the km86-km106 section of the Batumi-Akhaltsikhe secondary road. While, the rest of the traffic is restricted.

Due to heavy snow, the movement of trailers and semi-trailers is restricted on the km39-km72 (Nakerala Pass) section of the Kutaisi-Tkibuli-Ambrolauri road, while the rest of the traffic is free. Traffic is free on the rest of the road.

Due to heavy snowfall, on the km28-km50 (Baghdati-Sairme) section of the Kutaisi-Baghdati-Abastumani-Benara secondary road, traffic is allowed using anti-slip chains. Traffic with two or more driveways is free.

Due to heavy snowfall, on the km 16 – km 29 section of the Cholaburi Bridge-Terjola-Tkibuli secondary road traffic is allowed using anti-slip chains. Traffic with two or more driveways is free.

Due to heavy snowfall, trailers and semi-trailers are restricted on the km42-km125 (Tsageri-Mele) section of the  Kutaisi-Tskaltubo-Tsageri-Lentekhi-Lasdili secondary road, while the rest of the traffic is free. Traffic is free on km1-km42 (Tskaltubo turn-Tsageri) section of the road.

Traffic of trailers, semi-trailers and buses with a capacity of more than 30 seats is restricted on the km30-km186 (Jvari-Ushguli) section of the Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili secondary road. On the km138-km186 (Mestia-Ushguli) section, light traffic is allowed using anti-slip chains. The traffic of off-road vehicles (with two or more leading bridges) is free. The traffic is free on the km1-km30 (Zugdidi-Jvari) section of the road.

The Roads Department urges the population to drive with appropriate tires for the winter period, with proper transport and to obey the regimes imposed on the roads.
