According to the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the National Environment Agency, according to the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi road from km 99 to km 102 (from the entrance of the first tunnel to Gudauri), there is a risk of avalanche danger. The avalanche danger area is currently only at km 102-km 105 and reduced to 3 km.

At the moment, Gudauri Kobi section is being cleaned in parallel on both sides. From the first side, the works continue from km 93 to km 102, and from the second side - from km 107 to km 105.
