Rehabilitation works of central streets of local importance in the village of Karajala, Telavi Municipality are in an active phase.

Upon completion of the works, approximately 9,000 locals will be able to use the standard road.

“An important project is being implemented in the village of Karajala. Works are underway to rehabilitate a 3 km road section. These are, in fact, the central streets. From 3 km to 1.7 km of the road, the first layer of asphalt has already been laid. Another 600 meters of road will be laid this week and in total, by the end of November, the road will be fully asphalted. Until now, the road was dirt and therefore it was difficult for the residents to move on it. Drainage systems and all other necessary infrastructure have been installed on the road rehabilitation section and it can be said that Karajala will have central streets in accordance with the standard by the end of November, ” said Irakli Karseladze, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure.

These are the sections of the road from the central crossroads of the village to the cemetery to Turdo ravine, sections of 35th Street (Gulguli Road), 21st Street (from the mosque to Alazani) and 25th Street (Sevdina district, connecting road) to the working sections of the road. Was grounded and obstructed the movement of vehicles.

The road rehabilitation project envisaged the arrangement of drainage systems and the arrangement of asphalt pavement for the entire section of the rehabilitation road, the completion of which is scheduled for the end of November.

The project is implemented by the Roads Department of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Georgia, the cost of the project is 2.2 million GEL.
