According to Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and National Environmental Agency, due to intensive snowfall and low temperature, avalanche hazards risk is high on Mleta-Gudauri(Posta) and Gudauri(Posta)-Kobi sections of Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Larsi (border of the Russian Federation) international road; therefore, traffic on the mentioned sections is restricted for all means of transport. Movement is free on the remaining sections of the road.
