First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and Chairman of Roads Department Irakli Karseladze delivered a speech to participants of the International Investment Business Forum (Georgia Land of opportunities).

The second annual forum is organized by BIA. In his speech, Irakli Karseladze discussed the importance of regional development and large infrastructure projects. Discussion focused on roads as well as ongoing and planned projects with regard to rehabilitation of cultural monuments, water supply and solid waste.

The event was attended by BIA Director General Aieti Kukava, EBRD Regional Director Bruno Balvanera, Executive Director of “Anaklia City” Keti Bochorishvili and representatives of other companies. During the day, the Investment Forum hosted about 500 delegates.

Representatives of governments, foreign investors, and representatives of embassies, chambers of commerce and associations from Georgia, Europe, USA and neighboring countries were among the guests. In parallel with the event, an exhibition of private investment projects was held.

The forum intends to support the positioning of Georgia as a financial and business center, overview of economic and investment potential of the country and introduce cheaper sources of funding for entrepreneurs.
