Chairman of Roads Department George Seturidze met with population of Stepantsminda and conducted presentation about construction of Stepantsminda-Trinity Church access road. The meeting was attended by Deputy Governor of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Tamaz Sujashvili and representatives of Kazbegi Municipality.

At the meeting, they discussed road’s importance for the region and listened to the remarks of local residents, which will be taken into account during implementation of the project.

A length of Stepantsminda-Trinity Church access road is 5.66 km. Detailed design of the project is ready and construction works will be started in the near future. The cost of design works amounted to GEL 175 000. 

After completion of the project, tourists, local residents and pilgrims will be able to use upgraded and comfortable road instead of damaged gravel road.

Holy Gergeti Trinity Church is a 14^th-century monument and inspires great interest in Tourists. Construction of mentioned road will significantly promote development of tourist potential. The project will be financed by the state budget.
