Within the frameworks of “Road Safety Awareness and Education Campaign”, the representatives of Roads Department of Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure and non- governmental organization fund “Partnership for Roads Safety” conducted the informational meeting with the drivers of Didube bus station.

Drivers of minibuses, who everyday move on E 60 highway (Tbilisi-Poti section of central highway) were informed about the results of conducted research on road traffic accidents and their reasons. In addition, there was held a discussion about the long-term development of E 60 highway and existing situation on roads.

The drivers were given informational booklets on the road safety issues and car stickers remembering them the major reasons of road accidents, all prepared within the frameworks of the project.

At the end of the meeting on road safety issues, drivers discussed their main problems and underlined the importance of such campaigns.

The campaign “Make our Roads Safe!” is being implemented on the initiative of Roads Department of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia. The World Bank represents the financial supporter of this project, while non-governmental organization – fund “Partnership for Roads Safety” is responsible for popularization of campaign.
