Based on information of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, as a result of cleaning works traffic is resumed on Choloki Bridge -Sarpi section for trailers and semi-trailers and movement is free for all mode of transport.

Traffic on Mleta-Gudauri section is possible without application of antiskid chains, though avalanche hazard still remains on Gudauri-Kobi section and traffic is forbidden for all mode of transport. Movement without application of antiskid chains is allowed on Gombori pass and movement in this direction is free.

By this time one-way traffic is resumed on secondary Ozurgeti-Lesa and Shukhuti-Dzimiti roads whereon road widening works are underway.

Traffic for trailers and semi-trailers is forbidden on Rikoti pass, Samtredia-Lanchkhuti-Grigoleti-Kobuleti road and Nakerala pass.

Cleaning works in all directions are underway during 24 hours. Representatives of Supervision Unit of Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia carry out on-site coordination and monitoring of ongoing cleaning works. 

In view of created circumstances, Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia urges population to use winter tyres, technically acceptable vehicles and follow traffic restrictions established on roads.
