Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure completed rehabilitation of concrete channel in Zemo Luha village
Ravine whereof bank protection works are undertaken is passing through personal land plots and residential houses. In the village territory water course is rectangular concrete channel, but after populated areas it is transferred into natural earth bed and from the right side is connected to Enguri River in a several hundred meters.
Concrete structure of the ravine was damaged and needed upgrading. During flooding water flowed over the concrete wall and flooded land plots and residential houses.
Channel capacity is increased along 290 m section and damaged walls are upgraded under the project in order to protect private land plots and residential houses.
Project commenced in 2014 and has completed this year. Works are financed from the state budget and its value is GEL 398 344.
