Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia provides photo materials reflecting rehabilitated Kutaisi access road in the category of weekly pictures gallery.

Rehabilitation of 4,3 km section (km224-km228) of Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze international road is completed. Rehabilitated section starts from Nakhshirghele village and ends at Kutaisi entrance.

Respective section is distinguished by high traffic intensity; in general, its rehabilitation is very important as for local residents as well as for road users.

Before construction of Kutaisi Bypass Road, the section was a part of East West Highway, whereon international movement still takes place (excluding transit traffic). At the same time, mentioned road connects densely populated villages: Chognari and Kvakhchiri with Kutaisi.

Following woks are implemented under rehabilitation project: two layer asphalt-concrete pavement is constructed on the carriageway; structures, junctions, entrances to private yards, sidewalks, road signs and directional sign post are arranged; horizontal marking is provided, bridge deck is upgraded at Kutaisi entrance.

Project is financed from the state budget and its cost is GEL 2 143 900
