Nodar Javakhishvili visited ongoing construction works on Ruisi-Agara section of the Highway

Minister of regional Development and Infrastructure Nodar Javakhishvili and the  head of the division of the development, reconstruction and modernization of the roads at the Roads Department, Irakli Khergiani visited ongoing construction works on Ruisi-Agara section of the Highway.
At the moment, arrangement of the road with asphalt and concrete goes to the end.
Within the frameworks of the project, road surface has been already organized on 17 km (four-lane) and 2 km (Two-lane) sections of the road (a total of 34 km of road in both directions). Two-level crossings, with 5 flyovers and 3 bridges have been organized. The project also envisages the construction of artificial structures.
The length of construction section of Ruisi-Agara is 19 kilometers. The project, which cost is 70 million Gel is financed by the World Bank. At this point, more than 350 persons are employed on the works, 70% of them are local residents
As a result of construction of Ruisi-Agara section, the road network will be modernized and equalized to the modern world standards. Also, traffic flow capacity and traffic safety will be increased.
Construction of Ruisi-Agara 19-kilometer section will be finished to the end of the current year.
