Representatives of RD carry out monitoring of works ongoing in West Georgia. Deputy Chairman of RD Vazha Panchulidze inspected rehabilitation works progressing on 4.8 km Nakhshirghele-Chognari road, at the entrance of Kutaisi city.

Rehabilitation of km218-km223 of Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze road will be completed by the end of this month. Following works were implemented within the project: two-layer asphalt-concrete pavement was constructed on 4.8 km section; bridge over the river Chishura and structures were rehabilitated, gabions and retaining walls were arranged.  Currently, arrangement of junctions, road signs, marking of carriageway and delineation is underway. Project cost is GEL 2 340 000. Rehabilitation works are implemented by “T & G” Ltd.

Respective section will run through the villages: Nakhshirghele, Broliskedi, Chognari and ends at the entrance of Kutaisi city. Traffic capacity would be increased and road safety would be improved as a result of road rehabilitation.
