Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia made public presentation of Annual Report 2013.

Mr. David Narmania, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia opened the meeting related to presentation of Annual Report 2013.

Presentation was attended by public officials, representatives of international donor organizations, US Embassy in Georgia and media.  

Annual Report 2013 was disclosed to the attendees in the form of presentation and printed as a book, wherein is given detailed description of the projects of the year with photo illustration. Also, information on sources of financing, indicator of fund allocation and statistical data of 2013 is provided in the report.

Vazha Panchulidze, Deputy Chairman made presentation on summarizing activity of the Department within 2013.

Speakers drew particular attention on increasing dynamics of highway construction and Plan for 2014.

For information, highway construction activity was progressing on 111km of road in 2013. In 2014 construction activity will cover 140 km of road.   

260 km of road, 45 bridges, 4 tunnels and 1 avalanche protection gallery was rehabilitated within 2013. 9 new bridges were constructed under the roads rehabilitation projects.

Mr. David Narmania, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and officials of RD reviewed road network development projects of 2014. Also priorities, goals and objectives set by the new management were highlighted.
