Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Chairman of Roads Department of Georgia introduced the respective project to the members of the Government.

    Within the recent years, one of the major priorities for Georgian Government is facilitation of tourism development. Rehabilitation works of 3,4 km long section that is accessing road to Kumistavi Grotto are carried out in terms of transferring Imereti into the tourist center. Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Chairman of Roads Department of Georgia visited respective road section today in order to inspect rehabilitation works.

    Governance in the Transport Sector Workshop, which last for 3 days at “Tbilisi Marriott hotel” has been completed today. The objective of the workshop was to help governmental agencies, NGO’s contractors in terms of sharing international experience in different fields. Analysis of experience gained from the road and transport projects was made at the respective meeting. The issue of procurement and corruption was discussed.  Summary of the Risk Assessments and the Mitigation Measures was made.
