Mr. David Tkeshelashvili, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Chairman of Roads Department of Georgia and Mr. Konstantine Mgeladze, Director of Municipal Development Fund attended the opening of the bridge over the river Tskhenistskali in Tsageri region. Respective bridge connects the village Tsageri and Lasuriashi to each other.

New bridge with 5 spans was built over the river Tskhenistskali. Sidewalks (one meter each), regulatory facilities, gabions and new railings were arranged. Asphalt-concrete was paved on the carriageway, guardrails ware provided at the approaches, road signs were installed and road marking was done. Total length of the bridge is 105 m, carriageway width is 3,5 m.

Rehabilitation works are performed by Georgian Roads Construction Company “Khidmsheni” Ltd. Value of works financed under Asian Development Bank amounts to 1 mln 117 thousand GEL.

Due to non existence of the bridge, traffic within the villages of Tsageri was carried out by means of bypass road. Local communities had to drive more than 20 km. Rehabilitation of respective bridge will facilitate to create comfortable and uninterrupted traffic movement as for light cars as well as for heavy vehicles.
