Mr. David Tkeshelashvili, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure and Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Chairman of Roads Department of Georgia inspected rehabilitation works carried out on 20 km long section of Kutaisi-Tskaltubo-Tsageri-Lentekhi-Lasdili secondary road. 

Road rehabilitation works at mentioned section consider construction of asphalt-concrete pavement. It also envisages arrangement of structures, ditches (drainage system), gabions, storm water system, road signs and markings. Currently construction of asphalt-concrete pavement is underway. 

Rehabilitation works are performed by Georgian Roads Construction Company “Tsekuri” Ltd. Value of works financed under the World Bank amounts to 11 mln 717 thousand GEL.

It should be noted that rehabilitation works on Kutaisi-Tskaltubo-Tsageri-Lentekhi-Lasdili road section will proceed within the current year and will be completed by the end of the year. It will create uninterrupted traffic movement along the complicated and land slide areas. New rehabilitated road will be provided from Tskaltubo towards Lentekhi direction, which is substantially important as for the economical development of the region as well as for the realization of tourism potential
