Presentation related to the “co-operation in terms of road safety” was held at Roads Department. Mr. David Tkeshelashvili, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure and Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Chairman of Roads Department of Georgia attended the presentation. Also, representatives of Georgian and foreign companies engaged in rehabilitation works of Georgian roads attended the presentation. 

The goal of the project is to enable construction companies in terms of strengthening road safety to enclose construction sites with international modern technical facilities, i.e. road signs, which will maximally ensure prevention of road accidents. 

It should be noted, that as a result of roads rehabilitation road capacity is apparently improved, traffic intensity and traverse speed is increased; thus negatively effects on road safety to some extent. Exactly for that reason, particular attention should be drawn to enclosing the construction sites with international technical facilities during the rehabilitation works.
