Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Chairman of Roads Department of Georgia, will open 22 km long section of Akhmeta-Telavi secondary road in Kaheti region.

Roads rehabilitation works for mentioned section considered construction of a leveling layer and double surface treatment. At the same time, project stipulated restoration of storm water system. Rehabilitation of carriageway is completed; currently construction of ditches is underway.

Construction works commenced in 2009. Works are executed by Ltd “Serpentine”. Value of the works financed by the World Bank amounts to 5mln 600 thousand GEL.

Rehabilitation of road network on respective alignment will promote to increase traffic capacity. It will facilitate to creation of comfortable traffic movement within urban areas and improve social condition of the local communities.
