Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Chairman of Roads Department of Georgia will conduct on-site monitoring of rehabilitation works for 4,3 km long approaching road that passes from the main road to Kareli.  Works are executed under the World Bank financing.

Construction works on mentioned section considers construction of new leveling layer and upper surface layer, also upgrading of storm water system, shoulders and ditches, arrangement of road signs and road markings.  Currently, 2 km road is already constructed on respective road section; rehabilitation works of 60 m bridge over the river Mtkvari is underway, in particular: repairing of sidewalks and dismantling of reflective posts. Simultaneously, upgrading of shoulders and ditches is ongoing on the road.

Cost of construction works financed by the state budget amounts to 1 mln 219 thousand GEL. Works are executed by “Vereli+" Ltd.

Rehabilitation of road network will assist to creation of more comfortable traffic movement from the main road towards Kareli.  Also it will promote improvement of social condition of the population.
