Rehabilitation of existing bridge over the river Chorokhi is in progress

Roads Department is implementing rehabilitation works of Chorokhi Bridge existing at km110 of Senaki-Poti-Sarpi road. Respective bridge is located at international road (Senaki-Poti-Sarpi) and connects Kakhaberi and Sarpi with Batumi. 

Project envisages: arrangement of drilled piles and reinforcement of piers; provision of water outlet system at bridge deck and arrangement of reinforced-concrete slab at sidewalks. Also cleaning of metal railings, painting of guardrails and construction of asphalt-concrete pavement at both bridge approaches by utilization of milling technology will be undertaken. Metal barriers will be restored and new sign posts will be installed on bridge approaches. Length of the bridge is 445 m, width -11,5 m.

At present, reinforcement of pier body and construction of reinforced-concrete connecting slabs for piles is underway at pier No.7 of the bridge.  

Project is being implemented by financing of the state budget (project cost GEL 3,244,400)

Rehabilitation works started on March 2013 and will be completed by the end of the year.
