Rehabilitation of Tbilisi -Tianeti road

Rehabilitation of 12.68 km section of Tbilisi –Tianeti road (km39-km51) is in progress, which is passing through the village Khevsurtsopeli and connects with Tianeti. 

Construction of road bed, structures, metal guardrails, retaining walls, entrances to private yards and bust stops is being implemented within the scope of the project. Also, works related to construction of asphalt-concrete pavement are being implemented. New directional posts and road signs shall be installed. Also, road marking will be provided.

At present, construction of asphalt-concrete pavement and preparation of road base by recycling method is underway.

Project cost financed by the World Bank amounts to GEL 4,170.000. Works are implemented by “Gzamsheni-4” Ltd.

Rehabilitation works started on November 2012 and will be completed on May of 2014.
