Mr. Davit Shavliashvili was on site visit to inspect progress of works in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti

Chairman of Roads Department Davit Shavliashvili and Deputy Chairman Ioseb Kadagishvili inspected progress of rehabilitation works in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti.

Management of the Department inspected rehabilitation works at km1-km7 of Ingiri-Shamgona road; km24-km29 (Darcheli-Anaklia) section of Zugdidi-Anaklia road; also they monitored works ongoing at bridges located at km25-km26 of Zugdidi –Anaklia road and approach roads. Chiefs inspected progress of rehabilitation works at sections of Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili road, which are damaged as a result of land slide; also they observed rehabilitation of protective walls. At sections were rock falling is frequent treatment of mountain slopes is carried out by means of drilling-explosion and with the help of alpinists.

Chairman and representatives of the department also visited Mestia-Ushguli road, where rehabilitation works would start in the nearest future. Rehabilitation of respective road is very important as for locals as well as for tourists, as it connects Mestia with Tetnuldi ski resort. In few months, visitors of Zemo Svaneti and locals will drive comfortably on rehabilitated Mestia-Ushguli-Tetnuldi road.
