Minister of Infrastructure of Georgia Revaz Sokhadze, together with Chairman of the Roads Department Levan Darakhvelidze, inspected the ongoing construction works of the Grigoleti–Kobuleti Bypass Road, part of the East–West international E70 highway.

The project includes the construction of a 14-kilometer four-lane asphalt-concrete highway, 22 bridges, 4 interchanges, culverts, and underground passages.

At this stage, traffic has already been opened on an 11-kilometer section, while construction works on the remaining 3-kilometer section are actively underway and are scheduled for completion this year.

The project is being implemented with financing from a loan provided by the European Investment Bank (EIB), with a total project cost of GEL 228 million.

The Grigoleti–Kobuleti Bypass Road will connect the Samtredia–Grigoleti expressway with the Kobuleti Bypass Road, allowing traffic to travel entirely via express highway from Grigoleti toward Kobuleti.
