Chairman of the Roads Department of Georgia, Levan Darakhvelidze, together with his deputies, met with representatives of local self-government in the Samtskhe–Javakheti region.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the progress of ongoing road infrastructure projects in the region, as well as planned projects.
The meeting also focused on existing challenges and needs related to road infrastructure, along with ways to address them.
Currently, 16 projects are underway in the Samtskhe–Javakheti region, while tenders have been announced for an additional 4 projects.
In addition, nearly 20 different projects are planned to commence this year, including the rehabilitation of 8 separate sections of the Khashuri–Akhaltsikhe–Vale international highway as part of road infrastructure works.
