The Roads Department has completed rehabilitation works on the Gurjaani–Chabukiani–Apeni–Kabali road of domestic significance.
The rehabilitated section is located in the Gurjaani and Lagodekhi municipalities, in the vicinity of the village of Chabukiani. The road starts northeast of the city of Gurjaani, passes through Chabukiani village, and ends to the east of the same village.
Within the project, the road infrastructure was fully upgraded: asphalt-concrete pavement was laid on the carriageway, new culverts were installed, a gabion retaining wall was constructed, and connections and access roads to residential yards were arranged. In addition, new road signs were installed and horizontal road markings were applied. One bridge was also rehabilitated as part of the project.
The upgraded road will significantly improve mobility conditions for local residents and ensure safer and more comfortable transport connectivity.
The works were financed from the state budget, with a total cost of GEL 24.4 million.
