                                                                                                Terms of Reference
     
     
    The Government of Georgia has received financing from the World Bank under the Second Secondary and Local Roads Project (SLRPII) for the improvement of local connectivity and travel time for the selected secondary and local roads. The civil works, supervision engineers and supporting consultancy services require dedicated management from the Roads Department. This Terms of Reference define the tasks of a Project/Contracts Manager, referred as Project Manager, to provide part of the additional assistance required for the Roads Department to implement this Project successfully. The Roads Department Plan plans to select a qualified Engineer with a strong background in Project Management to undertake these tasks.

    1.     Georgia has received a Loan from Japan International Cooperation Agency toward the cost of the East-West Highway Improvement Project on December 16, 2009.  It is intended that part of the proceeds of this Loan will be applied to eligible payments for which this Invitation for Prequalification is issued.

    The consulting services (“the Services”) include Supervision of construction works for Ruisi-Agara-Agara Bypass Section (km95–km114) of E-60 Highway. The Consultant will be tasked to supervise the construction of a new carriageway along Ruisi-Agara-Agara Bypass Section (km95-km114) of E-60 Highway. Works are expected to start not later than May, 2012. The estimated duration of works contract is 24 months. The objective of the consultancy services is to ensure that high quality construction is achieved and that all works are carried out in full compliance with the engineering design, technical specifications described in the civil works contracts and that all efforts are deployed by the contractors to manage the construction within the agreed total price.
