REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

 
Georgia has applied for financing from the World Bank toward the costs of the Third East West Highway Improvement Project Additional Financing and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services. 
 
The consulting services (“the Services”) include Supervision of construction works for Ruisi-Agara-Agara Bypass Section (km95–km114) of E-60 Highway. The Consultant will be tasked to supervise the construction of a new carriageway along Ruisi-Agara-Agara Bypass Section (km95-km114) of E-60 Highway. Works are expected to start not later than May, 2012. The estimated duration of works contract is 24 months. The objective of the consultancy services is to ensure that high quality construction is achieved and that all works are carried out in full compliance with the engineering design, technical specifications described in the civil works contracts and that all efforts are deployed by the contractors to manage the construction within the agreed total price.
 
The Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (RDMRDI) now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are: corporate capacity, general experience, and experience in undertaking supervision assignments for highway construction works.
