• September 9, 2009 Roads Department of Georgia will open 10 km long section of Vaziani-Gombori–Telavi  road. As a result of roads reconstruction, travel time from Tbilisi to Telavi will be reduced. Traffic flow driving towards Kakheti direction will be diverted to the respective road. Roads reconstruction will promote to the development of regional infrastructure. While working on design, route, passing through densely populated areas, was selected among the alternative alignments in order to improve social conditions of local communities.

• September 3, 2009 Mr. David Tkeshelashvili, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure and Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Chairman of Roads Department of Georgia, will open 8 km length Gamdlis Tskaro-Khurvaleti road section part of International Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze Highway.

• August 18, 2009 On 18 August, at 19:00, presentation of the project “Georgian Roads - History and Contemporaneity” will be held at the cinema “Tbilisi” in Batumi (address: 6, Baratashvili street). Roads Department of Georgia is the author and organizer of the project.

  August 15, 2009 Mr. David Tkeshelashvili, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure and Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Chairman of Roads Department of Georgia, will monitor progress of rehabilitation works conducted on 14,3 long section of Zahesi-Mtskheta-Kavtiskhevi-Gori  secondary road.

• August 13, 2009 Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Chairman of Roads Department of Georgia, will conduct in Kakheti region on-site monitoring of rehabilitation works for 33 km long section of Akhmeta-Telavi secondary road.
