Hi-tech communication control point started operation in Gori tunnel
Roads Department purchased hi-tech communication control systems for tunnels under the World Bank financing. Control points were arranged at Gori and Rikoti Tunnels and all electro-mechanical systems existing in tunnels are operated through computer programs from control points. Today, Deputy Chairman George Amashukeli inspected operation process of new control points and wished success to the personnel.

Placing of concrete pavement will start at Ruisi-Agara section from October 23
Construction of Ruisi-Agara section is being implementing by “China Nuclear Industry” under the World Bank financing. “China Nuclear Industry” brought high technological concrete paving equipment and started testing of the machine at Ruisi road.
Deputy Chairman George Amashukeli inspected new machinery on site and attended the testing process.

Deputy Chairman of Roads Department George Amashukeli attended fifth meeting of the Working Group on the Asian Highway and Asian Highway Investment Forum organized by UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and The Pacific (ESCAP) in Bangkok.

Davit Shavliashvili had a meeting with representatives of the World Bank
Chairman of Roads Department Davit Shavliashvili met with representatives of the World Bank mission. Members of the mission were Jean-Francois Marteau, WB project Task Team Leader and Mustapha Benmaamar, TTL; Marinos Skempas, Senior Highway Engineer and Joseph Melitauri, TTL of SLRP II. Parties discussed the progress of projects financed by the World Bank and details of the projects to be implemented under the Fourth East West Highway Improvement Project.
