    Construction works for the first 5 km section of 15 km long Sveneti-Ruisi road (E-60 Highway) has been completed. 
    Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and Mr. Mamuka Lezhava, Chairman of Roads Department, opened the completed 5 km long road section.
    Construction works on 15 km long Sveneti-Ruisi road section are implemented by Azerbaijani company “Akkord”. Turkish-Georgian Company “Temelsu-BT” provides technical supervision. More than 100 persons were engaged in construction activities, among them were local residents.

    The rehabilitation works are coming to the end on 15 km long Sveneti - Ruisi section of highway (the most important segment).  The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili inspected rehabilitation works.
    Construction of cement – concrete pavement on respective road section is nearing completion. Construction of two parallel overpasses (length 880 m) over the river Liakhvi is underway, also two 800 m long tunnels are constructing.

    Rehabilitation works of the road Vaziani-Gombori-Telavi with length 55 km is completed. The President of Georgia Mr. Mikheil Saakashvili and the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili opened the renewed road today.

    The project included: installation of the iron-concrete water pipes and the drainage systems, constructing protecting walls and 2 new bridges, rehabilitation of 7 bridges, and asphalting the road with length 55 km. 

    Rehabilitation of Vaziani-Gombori-Telavi Connecting road will support integration of Georgia into the international network of tourism.  Besides it, after modernization of the road, time of travel from Tbilisi to Telavi reduced by 50 minutes, and it is very important. Rehabilitation of Vaziani-Gombori-Telavi connecting road will help to improve social conditions for local citizens.

    The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is implementing rehabilitation works on 16 km long road section that connects Tkibuli and Ambrolauri in Racha.
     
    Project envisages rehabilitation of the road that leads to Nakerala Pass, Shaori Lake and Nikortsminda, village of Ambrolauri. Currently, civil works related to widening of the carriageway, construction of asphalt pavement, rehabilitation of drainage system and construction of supporting walls are underway. Rehabilitation of three bridges is planned. 150 persons are employed on the project and most of them are locals.

    Rehabilitation works on 9,4 km long Khabume-Jumiti-Zumi-Mukhuri road section are underway in Samegrelo.
    Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and Mr. Zaza Gorozia, State Representative in Samegrelo-Zemo (Upper) Svaneti region, have inspected rehabilitation works.
    Mentioned road section connects 4 villages to each other. Project considers construction of cement-concrete pavement by application of German technology, average operating period of which lasts 30-35 years. Rehabilitation works include construction of road base, drainages, artificial structures and cement concrete pavement on the carriageway.
