Construction of cement-concrete pavement on RHS of 15 km long Sveneti-Ruisi road (E-60 Highway) has been completed.
Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has attended the finalization of construction process late at night.
Construction works on 15 km long Sveneti-Ruisi section are implemented by Azerbaijani company “Akkord”. Currently, civil works related to construction of two, 800 m. long tunnels and two 880 m. long overpasses are underway in twenty-four hours regime.

The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili and the Governor of Kvemo Kartli Mr. David Kirkitadze have visited infrastructural projects in Dmanisi Municipality.
The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is carrying out rehabilitation works on 13 km long section of Dmanisi-Didi Dmanisi-Gomareti-Bediani road.

Construction of airport has been commenced in Zugdidi. The project, which is being implemented through coordination of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, envisages construction of asphalt-concrete landing strip with length 1 km and 300 m and width 30 m. Zugdidi airport design was elaborated in compliance with international parameters. Company “Black Sea Group” will perform civil works. 300 people will be evolved in construction activities and most of them would be locals.

Construction of 1.5 km section of bypass and of the bridge on the river Liakhvi, on the 85th km of High-speed highway of Sveneti-Ruisi is completed. The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili opened the bridge and road and personally inspected the works conducted by the Ministry.
Construction of 1.5 km section of the bypass (with length 3 km) was completed. The section undergoes through the village Irtasheni. The new bridge, which connects the West and the East, has changed the temporary steel bridge.

The first phase of the rehabilitation works of Rikoti pass tunnel has been completed. The movement in the tunnel was opened for the winter season. Traffic through the tunnel will be carried out instead of pass road. The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili visited the implemented works and opened the tunnel himself.
Rehabilitation works of Rikoti tunnel on 143rd -km of Tbilisi - Senaki - Leselidze Road began in July of 2010. works of changing of old communications systems, tunnel strengthening works, asphalt - concrete covering on the road, installation of ventilation system and new lighting were already implemented
