    A public celebration ‘'Gomismtoba 2011'' was held today on resort Gomismta. The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili has received participation in the celebration together with other guests. ‘'Gomismtoba 2011'' has been held for 2 years. In the framework of the celebration was organized horse racing, competing in mini-football and arm-wrestling, was held the concert of Ozurgeti Municipal cultural center folk ensemble ‘'Shvidkatsa'' and was founded Georgian and Eastern Martial arts festival ‘'Chinchaos Festival''.

     
    Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili and Joseph archbishop of Shemokmedi have visited newly built St. George's named church, which was opened today. The minister, together with the attorney of the president in Guria region Valeri Chitaishvili has visited 17 km length rehabilitated section of Ozurgeti- Shemokmedi-Bjujhesi road, has met with the local residents and has attended the celebration. "Gomismtoba - 2011" is organized by the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure and the Administration of Guria region.

    Tskaltubo and Tsageri will be connecting to each other with rehabilitated road. Rehabilitation works on 20 km section of Kutaisi-Tskaltubo-Tsageri-Lentekhi road and construction of 50 meters bridge to Tsageri have been completed. Construction of road curbs is being implemented currently.

    Today, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili personally has visited rehabilitation works and has met with local residents.

    400 persons have been employed on rehabilitation and construction works of 20 km section of Kutaisi-Tskaltubo-Tsageri-Lentekhi road and in factories for necessary materials for construction.   Most of employees are local residents. The project which is implemented by the Ministry of Regional development and Infrastructure is financed by the World Bank. On this section of the road, during the decades, movement and transportation was complicated. Asphalt pavement, drainage channels and artificial construction were made on the road. As a result, residents and tourists will move on the rehabilitated road  safely .

    Today, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia held a presentation of the project entitled: "The Investment and Employment."
     
    Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure has presented the data about the number of investment and about the number of people employed by the Ministry in 2009 and 2010.  During the presentation it was declared the data about the number of employed people as a result of ongoing and planned projects of 2011. The Minister of the Regional Development and Infrastructure has talked about the plans of 2012 and has noted that according to this project the number of employed people should be more than 60 thousand in next year.

    Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili has visited the current infrastructural projects and has met local residents in Akhaltskikhe, today, with president's attorney in Samtkshe-Javakheti region Lasha Chkadua.
     
    A new road is being cut through Akhaltsikhe by the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure which creates possibility to implement car traffic without passing the railway passage.
     
    Coast-protecting jobs are being in process of implementation on the bank of river Photskhovi. River Photskhovi has been endangering  to arable agricultural lands of residents and first floors of houses. The project will be finished in September and finally will be settled decade problems  of residents.

    Today, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili and Chairman of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Mr. Levan Varshalomidze have visited the ongoing rehabilitation works on the section with length 15 km of Batumi - Akhaltsikhe road. This road connects municipalities of Keda and Khelvachauri.  Rehabilitation works on the section are funded by the World Bank. The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure implements reconstruction works. The project includes arrangement of groundwork for the road, arrangement of the artificial constructions and covering the road with asphalt. The groundwork and underground communications have already been completed, and asphalt cover has been already arranged.  Installation of  Metal  fences and road signs are being implemented now.
