    Two central sides of Sachkhere will connect to each other with two new bridges. Today the Minister of Regional Development and infrastructure Ramaz Nikolaishvili together with the Governor of Imereti region Lasha Maqatsaria has visited the ongoing and finished works on the bridges.
     
    Two years ago flood had taken away the road bridge which was placed in the center of the town. As a result the residents had to move from one side of the city to another through amortized bypass. The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia have reconstructed 4km bypass road and has begun constructing of two: pedestrian and road bridges on the 56th km of Gomi-Sachkhere-Chiatura-Zestafoni road on the river Kvirila.  The bridge with length of 56 meters and with width 16 meters is being built on the mentioned section of the road. The project includes installation of the props, construction of embankment walls, railings and pavement of asphalt on the road. The pedestrian bridge has been built in 100 meters from the road bridge. Its length is 56 meters and width 5 meters. As a result, the residents who had to walk four kilometers to reach the central market will be able to do it easily.

    Rehabilitation of 24.8 km section of Ozurgeti - Ninoshvili - lesa road has been completed. Today, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Ramaz Nikolaishvili, Bishop Joseph from Shemokmedi and the governor of Guria region, Valery Chitaishvili opened the rehabilitated road.
     
    On the regional importance road, the artificial structures have been rehabilitated, drainage systems has been replaced, surface was laid on the drive part of the road , which operating period is  several decades. The road consists of five different layers, which provides the resistance.

    The celebration events have been finished in Mestia. The new house of Justice, new building of Police, hostel stile hotels, new bridge and 136 km road were opened in the center of Svaneti. President Mikheil Saakashvili also has participated in the events. The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Ramaz Nikolaishvili, the Minister of Justice Zurab Adeishvili, Legislative, Executive and Judicial authorities, the Diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia, as well as international organizations and the media, local residents and visitors of Mestia were attended the celebration events in Mestia. The building of House of Justice in Mestia and the bridge was designed by German architect Jurgen Mayer.

    Today, the former resort city Anaklia was officially opened. The pedestrian Bridge with length of 540 meter which connects Anaklia and Ganmukhuri has been opened as well. The basing of foundation of the new hotel was started as well, which will have the function of training center.
     
    The bridge has been designed by German architect Pitter Walser with co-authorship of Ltd. "Transproject". The construction part of the bridge was prepared in Germany after that the transportation and installation of the bridge in Georgia was carried out. The whole Pedestrian Bridge is made from wood. It should be noted that such long wooden bridge doesn't exist not only in Georgia, but in whole Europe. The bridge railings and ropes are illuminated with modern illumination which creates beautiful show.
    The bridge is nominated in the International Contest of the Bridges in New-York. The contest is going to be held in the September of this year. It was nominated for the award: "Best Pedistrian Bridge".

    A new service complex is being built on Tbilisi bypass road. Today, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Mr. Ramaz Nikolaishvili has visited current construction works of the complex.                              
     
    The new service complex is being built at Lochini knot of Tbilisi bypass road and is designed by the German architecture Jorgen Meyer. The project considers construction of petrol station, resting center and service centre. The resting center includes: fast food, mini restaurant, small office of bank service and market. The territory will be greened and will be equipped with special equipment. The places for picnics will be organized and special part will be allocated for the realization of agricultural products.
